Does regex mode support capture groups?
Yes. Enable "Use regex" and use $1, $2 in the replacement to reference capture groups, and $& for the entire match — standard regex replacement syntax.
How does whole-word matching work?
When regex is off, checking "Whole word" adds word boundaries around the search term so only complete words are replaced, not fragments inside words (applies to alphanumeric characters).
Is replacement live or manual?
Live. The result updates instantly as you edit the text, find, replace or any option, and shows the total number of replacements — no button needed.
